Volunteers are at the heart of Center for Hope and Safety. They are integral part of our agency and help allow us to provide 24 hour services to survivors in our community. Interested in making a real difference for our community? Below is a list of ways you can help!
Provide direct support to victim and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking and impact someone’s life directly. For more details on becoming an advocate, visit our Volunteer Advocate page.
Becoming an intern is a great way to invest in your future. CHS’ internships are unique in that you are given the opportunity to work directly with survivors just like our staff and volunteer advocates. All interns must complete our advocate training before they can start their internship. For more information on interning with CHS, visit our Internship page.
Office volunteers help our program with important duties like helping in our donation center, HOPE Builder Boutique and special projects.
Shelter Volunteers support our emergency shelter during business hours by organizing materials, preparing rooms, shopping for food and supplies, and assisting at the Mosaic Activity Center (MAC) with children’s activities, story time, library programs, and general upkeep.
If you’re interested in giving back in other ways besides advocacy, becoming an office or shelter volunteer may be right for you. To find out more information, visit our Office Volunteer page.
Volunteering as a group can be perfect for your club, organization, group or workplace looking to get involved in the community. For more information about group volunteering opportunities please visit our Group Volunteering page.
