Volunteer
Volunteers are at the heart of the Center for Hope & Safety. They are an integral part of our agency by allowing us to provide 24-hour services to survivors. Interested in making a real difference for our community? With individual and group volunteer opportunities, there are plenty of ways to help.
Join our Monthly Volunteer Orientation
Every 2nd Wednesday of each month, join CHS virtually or in-person for 30-minutes to learn all the ways you can support our mission as a volunteer. Click the link below to sign up for our next Volunteer Orientation.
Volunteer Opportunities
Become a Certified Advocate
In order to offer direct service as a volunteer for CHS, you must complete certified advocate training. CHS hosts 3 training cycles a year - Fall, Winter, and Spring. This training is available to interested volunteers, interns, community partners, and the public. Register below!

Internships
Doing an internship is a great way to invest in your future. CHS’ internships are unique in that you are given the opportunity to work directly with survivors just like our staff and volunteer advocates. All interns must complete our advocate training before they can start their internship.
Support Volunteering
Support volunteers help our program with important duties like helping in our donation center, HOPE Builder Boutique, tasks at shelter, and special projects. If you’re interested in giving back in other ways besides advocacy, becoming a support volunteer may be right for you! Training is hosted every 3rd Wednesday at 11am.
Group Volunteering
Volunteering as a group can be perfect for your club, organization, group or workplace looking to get involved in the community. If you’re interested in setting up a time for your group, complete the inquiry form below.
