Advocacy

Confidential advocates are available 24/7 at 503-399-7722.

We support all survivors and victims. Our programs and services inform survivors of their options and support them in their choices. A cornerstone of our philosophy is respect for the rights of all survivors, including freedom to decide whether to report to authorities.

In addition to supporting survivors and victims, CHS offers support to concerned friends, family, coworkers, and community leaders as they support survivors in our community.

It involves preparing for potential danger, reducing risk, and increasing safety whether the person chooses to stay, leave, or has already left an abusive relationship.

Education & Training

Center for Hope & Safety provides free training on power and control abuse dynamics and issues surrounding victimization. These trainings are designed to empower individuals with knowledge, skills, and resources to understand abuse, recognize its signs, and how to support survivors in their life, workplace, or community.

Court Accompaniment

Court accompaniment is a support service where trained advocates accompany survivors to court proceedings related to their abuse. This can include hearings for protective orders, custody, divorce, criminal cases against the abuser, or other legal matters. Center for Hope & Safety advocates cannot give legal advice or testimony.
