Emergency Shelter
If you are in need of shelter, please call 503-399-7722 to speak with an advocate.
For decades, the Center for Hope & Safety has operated a bilingual emergency shelter program for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. Our emergency shelter offers independent living for adult survivors, survivors with minor dependents, and is pet-friendly.
While staying at shelter, survivors are provided with everyday essentials like food, clothing, pet items, and hygiene products. Often survivors are fleeing with only the clothes on their backs. Shelter advocates offer on-site case management, resources, and advocacy to support survivors in reaching their goals.
Last fiscal year, CHS provided more than 12,000 nights of shelter to survivors and their children.
